 Britney Spears: Dad receives big raise
Britney Spears' dad got a nice Christmas present!
Jamie Spears, was earning about $10,000-a-month for his court-ordered supervision of the singer, but a Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner gave him a $6,000-a-month raise on Monday.
That works out to $75 an hour, according to the commissioner.
Jamie will also receive an additional $1,200-a-month expense account to keep an office, where he will be working on Britney's conservatorship and getting her personal life back on track.
Along with attorney Andrew Wallet, Jamie was granted permanent legal control of Britney in October.
Jamie was first put in temporary control of his daughter's affairs on Feb. 1 following her two forced hospitalizations in January.
Meanwhile, after her tumultuous year, Britney got in the holiday spirit Tuesday by posting a card on her Web site.
The holiday card includes two photos of the pop star with her sons, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, in front of a Christmas tree. In both pictures Britney is affectionately wrapping her arms around the boys, and one of the photos features her sons decked out in "Papas Glasses!"
Below the photo is a cheerful greeting: "Happy Holidays! Love Britney, Jayden James and Sean Preston (and Papa's Glasses)" |
