Mary J. Blige: Accused of beat burglary
Mary J. Blige has been the target of a federal song-swiping suit issued by two New Jersey men. Jay-Z also is charged along with him.
More news on Mary J. Blige has been inferred from multiple sources. Jermaine Jumpp and Michael C. Adams have laid the accusation on Blige’s renowned producer, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, of swiping the beat from their "On My Grind" for Mary J. Blige's "Enough Cryin'."
The plaintiffs also has made that claim that they submitted a CD containing their song to Jerkins sometime earlier in the year 2001 and were shocked when "Enough Cryin' " surfaced on 2005 album titled The Breakthrough. Jay-Z also got a co-writing credit and they got bupkis.
No word was known about the reason why it took three years to file their suit. Also the calls to their lawyer were not returned.
Neither Mary J. Blige nor Jigga also were available for comments. The two friends are frequent collaborators, who have teamed up last spring for their Heart of the City tour. |
