Sources have thrown more light on the news of Lance Armstrong. The cancer survivor Armstrong and his girl friend Anna Hansen are expecting in the month of June. It would be the fourth child for Armstrong.
Thirty seven year old Lance Armstrong has three children from his previous marriage with Kristin Richards.
After the diagnosis of testicular cancer in the year 1996, Lance Armstrong underwent chemotherapy treatment as the cancer spread to other parts of his body.
The children with his ex-wife were conceived using sperm Armstrong that was stockpiled before his cancer treatment.
It was initially thought the chemotherapy would leave him unable to have further children.
This time the couple are expecting without the use of artificial fertilization.
While briefing the reporters of a popular news magazine of United States, Lance Armstrong put forth his comments. He said, "Anna and I are thrilled to confirm that we are expecting in June and our families are ecstatic and grateful." "We are very much looking forward to what 2009 brings on many fronts. We appreciate respecting our privacy, as we are both eager to celebrate the holidays as a family."
Lance Armstrong is father to nine year old Luke and eleven year old twins namely Isabelle and Grace with his ex-wife Kristin Richards.
Armstrong has been linked to Kate Hudson, Sheryl Crow and designer Tory Burch.
In the year 2005 Lance Armstrong thought of retiring but announced in the month of September that he was going to make a comeback. In order to get ready for the 2009 Tour de France, he plans to race in the Giro d'Italia and Australia's Tour Down Under. |
