 Simon Cowell: Wants Britney Spears on 'American Idol'
Simon Cowell, who is best known as a judge on such TV shows as 'Pop Idol', 'American Idol', 'The X Factor' and 'Britain's Got Talent', wants Pop diva Britney Spears as mentor for the upcoming season of 'American Idol'.
Simon Cowell said that he would like to welcome the chance to see Spears on the show, which returns for its 8th season on January 13. Britney Spears is on a comeback roll with a No.1 album and upcoming tour after almost two years of personal woes.
Simon Cowell said, "She would be first on the list. I would love to see her mentor the contestants. But if she doesn't want to do that and she wants to come on the show to perform, I would welcome her any time".
Cowell said that he would also like to see former Beatle Paul McCartney, Beyonce Knowles, Lionel Richie and movie director Quentin Tarantino, who was a guest judge in 2004.
It is known that some of the biggest singer/songwriters in pop history have visited 'American Idol' over the past few seasons.
