 Peter Falk: Suffers from Alzheimer's
Peter Falk, who is renowned for portraying the character of disheveled police detective in famous 1970s television show titled "Columbo", has been suffering from Alzheimer's. On Tuesday the US media has published the report.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Peter Falk. According to them, this eighty one year old actor, who portrayed Columbo in over seventy television episodes and films during a 35-year period, was known to be suffering from Alzheimer’s. The court papers filed by his daughter also clarified the fact.
In fact Peter Falk’s daughter Catherine has filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court thereby claiming that her father requires "full-time custodial care for his health and safety."
In addition, Falk's daughter has forwarded request of a conservatorship that would give her control of her father's affairs. This can be inferred as per court filings that claimed that Peter Falk "can easily be deceived into transferring away property."
A further hearing has been scheduled to be held sometime during the next month.
Born in New York in 1927, Peter Falk started his acting career on Broadway in the year 1956, which has captured attention of Hollywood studios.
He was nominated twice in Oscar award for best supporting actor Oscar, thereby portraying a gangster in 1960's "Murder Inc" and 1961's "Pocketful of Miracles".
Peter Falk has worn a glass eye most of his life after his right eye was removed at the age of the three because of a tumor. |
