Boy George: Found guilty of imprisoning male escort
On Friday Boy George, the British singer, was found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort from Norway by handcuffing him to a wall.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Boy George. This ex Culture Club frontman was present at Snaresbrook Crown Court in east London in order to hear the verdict, which was declared at the end of a two-week trial.
Forty seven year old Boy George was tried under his real name George O'Dowd. He has denied the charge of falsely imprisoning Audun Carlsen at his flat in the month of April last year. This report was published in a popular news magazine.
According to Boy George he had invited Carlsen to his home after a cocaine-fueled pornographic photo shoot in the month of January. He did so since he suspected the Norwegian of stealing pictures from his computer.
During the trial, Carlsen laid his counter claim that Boy George had handcuffed him to a wall and beaten him with a chain. In fact the singer was angry since Carlsen had refused to sleep with him when they first met.
Boy George did not give evidence during the trial. The court heard Carlsen’s description of how he sustained injuries during their meeting in April 2007, from being beaten and handcuffed.
The lawyer of Boy George or O'Dowd's commented that the injuries were consistent with bondage gear that the Norwegian had worn.
During 1980s Boy George rose to fame mainly due to his unique voice and androgynous image. His hits include "Karma Chameleon" and "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" |
