 Maria Sharapova: Threatened by ex college football player
Maria Sharapova, the Tennis star, is going through tough time. She has been threatened by a former US university gridiron player.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Maria Sharapova. On Friday Leonard Taylor, a defensive back for the University of Wisconsin from 1995-98, was detained and faced charges of stalking and telephone harassment over calls that he made to Maria Sharapova and also Barry Alvarez, his ex head coach and now the University of Wisconsin athletic director.
In the calls, Taylor threatened to kill Maria Sharapova and her family and also Alvarez, This is as per the criminal complaint that was released on Monday.
In defense of Taylor, his father has informed policemen that his son has been diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic and stopped taking his medication almost 3 months ago.
According to the complain he began calling again in November, voicing "excessive profanity, threats against Alvarez and references to how professional tennis player Maria Sharapova (had) done (him) injustices in various ways".
It is said that on November 24 and 25, twenty nine year old Taylor has left twenty nine messages on Alvarez's voice mail in some of which Taylor expressed his desire of marrying Maria Sharapova but at the same time he wanted to kill her and her family. |
