 Brooke Satchwell: Escapes attacks
Brooke Satchwell, the famous Australian actress, who acted in the popular Neighbours television drama, commented that she narrowly escaped the gunmen behind the Mumbai attacks thereby hiding in bathroom cupboard of a hotel.
Twenty eight year old Brooke Satchwell was staying with friends at Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Hotel, where the attackers are still holding hostages.
Brooke Satchwell commented that she was heading back inside the building after smoking a cigarette. At that time she heard gunshots.
While briefing the reporters of a famous television channel on Thursday Brooke Satchwell appeared to be still in trauma. She said, "There was people getting shot in the corridor. There was someone dead outside the bathroom."
It has been reported that Brooke, along with other guests, hid in a hotel bathroom. While Brooke Satchwell locked herself inside a small cupboard, other guests hid in cubicles. All of them remained in hideout till they were being escorted out by staff.
"Next thing I knew I was running down the stairs and there were a couple of dead bodies across the stairs. It was chaos," added Brooke.
Brooke Satchwell is highly acclaimed for portraying the character of Anne Wilkinson in Neighbours, which is screened worldwide. She is presently acting in another Australian drama and staying in Mumbai on holiday and also for some film assignments. |
