 Brooke Burke: Wins ABC’s 'Dancing with the Stars'
Brooke Burke and her professional dance partner Derek Hough are the winner of the ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" competition.
During last night's live finale results show on ABC, they were crowned "Dancing with the Stars" seventh-season ballroom champions.
Brooke Burke, the mom of four has been the judge’s favorite from the first day of the competition.
After Brooke Burke and partner Derek Hough danced their final dance, the judge Carrie Ann Inaba said, "Brooke, you are a star. From day one, you proved what you could do with your body, but you proved today what you are doing with your soul . . . you guys deserve that trophy more than anyone else".
Both the finalists gave kudos to their partners.
Former NFL star Warren Sapp, who attracted everyone with his personality, was the runnerup.
Lance Bass and his partner Lacey Schwimmer came in third.
Brooke Burke's partner Derek Hough, who's never won the competition, said, "I actually can't believe it. I really can't. I honestly can't. The journey's been so long. It's been tough. It's been wonderful. It's been everything I could ever hope for. Wow. I can't believe we actually did it".
Burke maintained an eight point lead over Sapp to win the competition.
Winners are decided by a combination of judges' scores and audience voting.
