After much speculation, close-door debates and rumors, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has decided to give up her Senate seat to become secretary of state in the Obama administration.
According to a source, Hillary Rodham Clinton has made up her mind after additional discussions about her role with President-elect Barack Obama, and with her husband Bill Clinton, the former President. To accept this position, she has to give up her senate seat.
As the Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton has to set aside her own agenda and support Obama’s policy.
The decision of Clinton pleased many Democratic who admire her strength and skills.
However, some political analysts and Democrats reportedly questioned whether Hillary Rodham Clinton is too independent and ambitious to work in her former rival's cabinet, but Obama's team has dismissed the doubt by citing her capability to rebuild the U.S. foreign relations with her credibility and experience.
