Paul McCartney: Plans to release Beatles' lost track

Paul McCartney has showed his desire of releasing the most experimental track the Beatles. However in order to undertake such a venture he will need the permission of Ringo Starr and the estates of George Harrison and John Lennon.

While briefing the reporters of a famous radio channel, Paul McCartney said that "Carnival of Light," a 14-minute piece whose recording was done in the beginning of 1967. He also said that "the time has come for it to get its moment" and that it shows the Beatles "going off piste."

"Carnival of Light" was recorded for the electronic music festival the Million Volt Light and Sound Rave and received its only public play there in early '67. Paul McCartney tried to include it on the Beatles' "Anthology" in the late 1990s. However Harrison vetoed it.

Regarding music recording Paul McCartney stated, "I said all I want you to do is just wander around all the stuff, bang it, shout, play it, it doesn't need to make any sense," "Hit a drum then wander on to the piano, hit a few notes, just wander around. So that's what we did and then put a bit of an echo on it. It's very free."

Experts of a handful of Beatles have heard the song, the master tape of which Paul McCartney claims to possess.
