Cloris Leachman: Suffers from ill health
Cloris Leachman, the Oscar winning actress, who saw a current resurgence of her popularity due to television show titled "Dancing with the Stars," fell ill sometime late last week. Presently she is seeking treatment from doctors and is staying at home. On Monday her spokeswoman has revealed this news to the media.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Cloris Leachman has been inferred from quite a number of sources. According to the representative of the celebrity television program titled "Entertainment Tonight" eighty two year old Cloris has been hospitalized and diagnosed with pneumonia.
The spokesperson of Cloris Leachman too was available for comments. By bringing out a statement on Thursday last week, she commented that the veteran actress "had a slight cough and wasn't feeling totally herself, so she went and sought medical attention from her doctor.
"She is currently at her home, and is expected to tape something for 'Dancing with the Stars' later this week," added the spokeswoman.
However the extent of illness of Cloris Leachman was yet to be known.
Cloris Leachman became the oldest contestant when she appeared on this season's "Dancing with the Stars". In fact the program is one of the most popular television programs of United States where the celebrities are paired with professional dancers and compete in ballroom dancing.
She won a large fan base for her good sense of humor on the program. However she got eliminated from the competition.
Cloris Leachman has grabbed Oscar award for her role in the 1971 movie "The Last Picture Show." She also has got 8 Emmy awards. Her best-known role in television was the self-absorbed Phyllis on "Mary Tyler Moore." |
