 Laura Linney: May act in Katharine Graham biopic
New York City born and Emmy Award-winning American actress, Laura Linney may act the role of Katharine Graham.
HBO Films is developing a biographical movie about Katharine Graham, an American publisher. Graham led her family's newspaper 'The Washington Post' for more than two decades, overseeing its most famous period, the Watergate coverage that eventually led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.
Novelist Joan Didion has written the untitled project, which is in the very early stages of development. The biopic will follow Graham's ascendancy to the top post at the newspaper after her husband committed suicide in 1963.
HBO Films is planning to offer Laura Linney the role of Graham.
Laura Linney has won an Emmy Award in September for her role as Abigail Adams, wife of the second president, in HBO's "John Adams".
Robert Benton, the Oscar-winning writer-director will direct the biographical movie. |
