 Kerry Katona: Reveals her alcoholism
British columnist and television presenter Kerry Katona has admitted for the first time that she is an alcoholic.
Max Clifford, the publicist of Kerry Katona has also admitted that he was aware of her drink problem. He told that Katona's recent admission that she is an alcoholic means that she can now get the help she needs.
Katona, who is also former pop singer with girl band Atomic Kitten, previously denied a drinking problem after viewers watched an erratic TV chatshow appearance which she blamed on medication.
Later, the mother of four children has finally come clean and confessed that she was diagnosed with the condition four years ago.
The 28 year old Kerry Katona said, "I was diagnosed as an alcoholic after a stay in The Priory clinic. This is not common knowledge as I've never admitted it before. But this is a battle I will face for the rest of my life. I can get through days without a drink but it's hard. I never promise myself or my family that I can beat this addiction but I'll try bloody hard".
Kerry Katona has faced a string of public problems in her personal and professional life since her pop star days.
Mark Croft, the husband of Kerry Katona, said that he hoped Katona would get the support and treatment she needed to help her recover from alcoholism. |
