 Michelle Obama: Disappointed fashion critics
First Lady Of United States, Michelle Obama has utterly disappointed the fashion moguls though Barack Obama's victory speech electrified the nation. The dress that she wore has accumulated tremendous vivid criticism. On Thursday a popular newspaper of United States has brought out this report.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Michelle Obama. According to them, on late Tuesday she came onstage at a huge rally by wearing a black cardigan over a ‘scoop-neck black sheath’ with ‘splashes of red in the upper and lower half separated by a band of black at the hips’.
The source also said that Michelle Obama’s outfit was a slight modified version of a dress that was being presented to her by designer Narciso Rodriguez in September for the 2009’s Spring season.
"I voted for Obama, but I didn't vote for that dress," commented a homemaker and mother of three from Wisconsin to the reporters of a poplar US news daily.
"I don't know what was worse," "that stupid criss-cross band around the middle or that black sort of border coming up from the hem." Regarding Michelle Obama’s dress Chicago lawyer Karla Wright has told this to the reporters of the same newspaper.
Not everyone said things in negative.
While talking to the media, Julie Gilhart, fashion director of New York's top-price Barneys clothing store said, That dress was unpretentious," "It said, Be who you are -- don't let someone else tell you how to be.'"
The staff members of Barack Obama also have depicted the fact that Michelle Obama does not use a personal stylist.
They continued, "Certainly, her style is a departure from the starchy attire that first ladies historically favored." "At the least, it promises four lively years of fashion-watching at the White House." |
