Jennifer Hudson: Plans to organize memorials
Jennifer Hudson has decided to organize a private memorial service sometime next week for her slain mother, brother and nephew. She has done so keeping in view with her desire to avoid the spotlight as the policemen investigate the deaths of three family members.
The invitation-only funeral will be organized on Monday on the South Side. Hudson Funeral Home, whose owners are related to the actress, is looking after the arrangements.
A source has revealed that the family on Friday Jennifer Hudson’s family members are expected to declare plans for a public memorial. The second service would give opportunity to the fans to mourn the deaths of the Jennifer Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, brother, Jason Hudson, and nephew Julian King.
Just like Jennifer Hudson, Julian's father also has avoided the spotlight since the murder on Oct. 24. Greg King's only public appearance came last weekend when he stood beside the boy's mother, Julia Hudson, as she tearfully pleaded for the safe return of her 7-year-old son.
Police consider Jennifer Hudson’s sister Julia's estranged husband, William Balfour as the main suspect in the case. However she did not charge him with the slayings. He remained in a prison of Illinois prison on a parole violation.
On Wednesday authorities also have found a gun that would match the caliber of weapon used in the killings.
On Thursday Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis has made the confirmation that the weapon recovered was a .45-caliber Sig Sauer semiautomatic handgun. However he has declined to comment anything in details.
The community leaders organized a vigil outside the Hudson home on Thursday and urged for law enforcement action to resolve the case.
"We need answers," "The world is watching," commented John Paul Jones of the Greater Englewood Community and Family Task Force. |
