Julianne Hough: To undergo a surgery
'Dancing with the Stars' contestant Julianne Hough can't dance for some weeks.
It is very unfortunate for Julianne Hough and her fans that she has been diagnosed with endometriosis and is scheduled to have an appendectomy.
Endometriosis is a tissue growth that most often appears on a woman's ovaries or uterus but in 2% to 5% of cases is found on the appendix.
Professional dancer Julianne Hough, who was partnered with "Hannah Montana" star Cody Linley, went to the hospital with stomach pains after last week's competition.
Hough wrote on her blog, "I’m not worried. I'm feeling good. I'm going to hopefully be back, if everything goes well, next week".
Julianne Hough also wrote, "Actually what happened is last week was more than just a tummy ache. Obviously. It turned out I ruptured a cyst that was on my ovary. I didn't know but I have endometriosis. I've apparently had it for a long time because I've had this pain for about the last five years. It hasn't been as bad. Up till last week, I let it go and I was always too busy to get it checked out. But because it happened when I was on the set, they made me go to the doctor".
She said that the surgery to remove her appendix will be done "laparascopically through my belly button so I won't have a scar". |
