Richard Blackwell: Passed away at age of eighty-six
Mr. Blackwell, the fashion wizard whose annual "worst-dressed" list could be the irritation of Hollywood stars, has died at age of eighty-six. On Monday the media reports have revealed the news.
More news on Richard Blackwell has been inferred from quite a number of sources. For sometime he has been in failing health. In the month of August he was reported to be in a coma after a fall at his residence at Los Angeles.
According to the report of popular news magazine of United States his publicist Harlan Boll has been quoted as saying that the former actor and fashion designer died on Sunday afternoon in hospital due to complications from an intestinal infection.
Richard Blackwell has issued his "worst-dressed" list for forty-eight years and it was watched around the world for his caustic joke about the fashion of the stars.
Last year he put British "Spice Girls" singer Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham at the top of his list, by saying: "...in one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty 'Posh' Beckham can really wreck-em."
For a long period of thirty-five years, Richard Blackwell has his own clothing line. He was also a costume designer who worked with Hollywood stars namely Jayne Mansfield and Jane Russell.
