 Vanessa Redgrave: To star in 'Night Music'
Emmy Award-winning actress Vanessa Redgrave will play in a one-night concert version of "A Little Night Music", the Stephen Sondheim-Hugh Wheeler musical along with her daughter Natasha Richardson. They will paly the role of mother and daughter in the production.
Star actress Natasha Richardson will play the role of actress Desiree Armfeldt in the Roundabout Theatre Company benefit on January 12 at the Nokia Theatre Times Square. Vanessa Redgrave will play the role of Madame Armfeldt in the production, which will be directed by Scott Ellis.
The concert will star Christine Baranski (Countess Charlotte Malcolm), Laura Benanti (Anne Egerman), Victor Garber (Frederik Egerman), Marc Kudisch (Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm), Natasha Richardson (Desiree Armfeldt), and Vanessa Redgrave (Madame Armfeldt).
Musical director Paul Gemignani will lead a 27-member orchestra with orchestrations penned by Jonathan Tunick.
American Express cardholders can purchase tickets exclusively from October 15-October 30, with public tickets to be made available on October 31. Ticket prices range from $150 to $2,500. |
