Magic Johnson: Outraged after HIV-faking allegation
On Friday former National Basketball Association champion Magic Johnson was outraged after two Minnesota radio talk show hosts have brought out the accusation of falsifying the fact that he had contracted HIV, which can even lead to AIDS.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Magic Johnson. As per their reports,
Chris Baker and Langdon Perry of station KTLK questioned whether or not Hall of Fame hero Johnson, who led the Los Angeles Lakers' "Showtime" dynasty of 1980s, was being truthful when he revealed in the year 1991 that he had contracted HIV.
"Magic faked AIDS," added Perry.
At this Baker commented, "You think Magic faked AIDS for sympathy?".
When Perry said "I'm convinced that Magic faked AIDS," Baker too gave an affirmative answer.
Further Perry continued, "I'm not sure why". "But I'm pretty sure he faked AIDS. Because he's the only cured AIDS guy ever."
The above-mentioned exchange has prompted a response statement from forty nine year old Magic Johnson. This report was published in a popular news agency of United States.
"I am extremely disappointed in KTLK in Minneapolis." "I am outraged that Chris Baker and Langdon Perry would minimize such a serious and deadly issue”, added Magic Johnson.
He further continued, "Millions are dying from HIV/AIDS and the fact that they would make jokes about my status is unbelievable."Chris, Langdon and KTLK should use their power in a more positive light by encouraging people to get tested for this disease instead of making up such ridiculous lies."
Magic Johnson guided the Lakers to 5 titles before his retirement in the year 1991 and made two comebacks before calling it quits for good in the year 1996. He was also a member of the 1992 US Olympic gold medal "Dream Team". |
