 Natalie Cole: Advised bed rest
Singer Natalie Cole is now on complete bed rest at her Los Angeles home after being released from hospital. Her spokeswoman Maureen O'Connor said this on Thursday.
Natalie Cole has been hospitalised in New York last month because of a setback in her battle with Hepatitis C.
The 58 year old Grammy-award winning singer has canceled her October tour dates and all other appearances after spending about a week in the hospital in September.
Maureen O'Connor said that Natalie Cole is now thinking to resume some of her schedule in November.
Maureen O'Connor said, "She is back at home and she seems to be doing pretty well".
Natalie Cole is currently receiving kidney dialysis, but this is not related to Hepatitis C, which O'Connor insists is "under control".
Cole, whose release was reported on the website of celebrity TV show "Entertainment Tonight," is the daughter of legendary singer Nat King Cole. In July, she said she had been diagnosed with Hepatitis C and said she probably contracted the liver disease from drug use more than 30 years ago.
Natalie Cole's doctors said at the time that she was responding well to treatment but was suffering side effects including fatigue, muscle aches and dehydration.
Natalie Cole has won eight Grammys in a 30-year career that has included albums such as "Everlasting" and "Unforgettable ... With Love", which featured her singing a duet with her late father via electronic technology. |
