Jesse Ventura: To work on a new series for truTV
Jesse Ventura, the former Governor of Minnesota, will work on a new conspiracy-theory series for truTV.
Production of a pilot staring Jesse Ventura begins on next month. The offer for the project comes from A. Smith & Co. Productions. They also produced "Hell's Kitchen" and "Trading Spaces".
Jesse Ventura, who was also a professional wrestler, will travel the country, investigate the cases and get input from believers and skeptics before passing judgment on a theory's validity.
In a statement, truTV said, "Ventura will hunt down answers, plunging viewers into a world of secret meetings, midnight surveillance, shifty characters and dark forces".
Jesse Ventura has also hosted a weekly talk show that lasted two months on MSNBC in 2003. He was also a TV commentator for the XFL, an alternative football league that folded after airing for one season on NBC in 2000.
He was elected the 38th Governor of Minnesota and served from January 4, 1999 to January 6, 2003 without seeking a second term. |
