 Oprah Winfrey: Joins voice cast of animated film
There is good news for the fans of Oprah Winfrey. Winfrey has joined the voice casting of the forthcoming Disney animated film titled "The Princess and the Frog."
More news about Oprah Winfrey has been inferred from various sources. According to them, during a Disney presentation in Hollywood on Wednesday, John Lasseter, the chief creative office at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios, has made the comment that Winfrey will portray Eudora’s character, the mother of the main character, Princess Tiana, voiced by Anika Noni Rose.
It is also known that the film, which is set for release in late 2009, has been filmed in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
Oprah Winfrey has lent her vocal talents to quite a number of animated and fantasy films. Currently, she portrayed the character of Judge Bumbleton in "Bee Movie," and she also provided dialogue for Gussy the Goose in the live-action "Charlotte's Web."
Randy Newman has written 6 new songs for "The Princess and the Frog". Newman appeared in person at the studio's presentation to perform one of the tunes, "Down in New Orleans." |
