 Julie Andrews: Joins program "Tooth Fair"
Actress Julie Andrews has undertaken a new venture. She is planning to join Dwayne ("The Rock") Johnson and Ashley Judd in the family comedy titled "Tooth Fairy."
More news on Julie Andrews has been inferred from quite a number of sources. According to them, "Extras" star Stephen Merchant, who also co-created "The Office," and pro skateboarder Ryan Sheckler also would be a part of the cast.
The 20th Century Fox film centers on the life of Derek Thompson (Johnson), a minor-league hockey player whose nickname is the Tooth Fairy because of his ability to knock out the teeth of the players in opposition. Judd has played the role of his girlfriend.
When he discourages a youngster, Derek has received the order of doing hard work for one week as a real tooth fairy, complete with wings, magic wand and frilly tutu. Mean while he rediscovers his forgotten dreams.
Julie Andrews will portray the role of Lily, a high-ranking, acerbic supervisor with the Tooth Fairy Department who is charged with overseeing stint of Derek as a tooth fairy. Seventy two-year-old British screen icon was last seen in the sequel of 2004 "Princess Diaries".
The shooting of the film has been scheduled to begin in the month of October in Vancouver under the direction of Michael Lembeck (the "Santa Clause" sequels). |
