Tommy Lee Jones: Sued for profits
Tommy Lee Jones, the famous actor, has sued the Paramount studio thereby claiming that it has owed him at least 10 million dollars as back office bonuses and back-end compensation for his work in this year’s Oscar winning film namely “No Country for Old Men”.
Tommy Lee Jones has filed suit against Paramount and N.M Classics in Bexar County, Texas where he used to live. According to the lawsuit his contract included a reduced upfront fee and also compensation if the film achieved success. The film, in which Jones plays a small-town sheriff, has created a profit of 160 million dollars throughout the world.
Tommy Lee Jones claims that Paramount has failed to pay him fully. He has brought out the allegation that the studio claimed that there are mistakes in his contract involving home video and the box office bonus formula.
Paramount said that it is the policy of the studio not to comment on pending litigation.
"That said, we're confident we have fulfilled our obligations to Mr. Jones," added the representative of the studio. |
