 David Duchovny: Sex addiction may ruin marriage
American actor David Duchovny’s sex addiction almost ruined his 11 year marriage to actress Tea Leoni. According to a source, Leoni has threatened to divorce him if he did not seek help.
Generally most of the celebrities enter rehab for substance abuse, but David Duchovny is quite different from others. The "Californication" star announced last week that he is voluntarily seeking treatment for his sex addiction. One of his friends said that he spends endless hours surfing X-rated sites on the internet.
The source said that David cheated on wife Tea Leoni many times over the course of their marriage, and only admitted to the affairs after she grew suspicious and confronted him.
David Duchovny entered rehab late last month. He said that Leoni gave him ultimatum saying, "Get treatment or our marriage is over". Duchovny added, "She felt it was ruining their marriage and affecting their kids".
David Duchovny and Leoni have two children, Madeline, 11 and Kyd, 6.
On August 29, David Duchovny released a statement saying, “I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family". |
