Michael Keaton: To play Ken doll
Michael Keaton has planned to play toy doll Ken in the forthcoming Toy Story movie. Ex Batman actor Keaton will provide the voice of boyfriend of Barbie in the 3rd installment of the animated series.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Michael Keaton. According to them, though Ken and Barbie is a couple, they will not have an on-screen kiss. This has been told by a studio representative. The source said: “There’s an embrace, but no kissing. Toy executives want to keep Barbie’s squeaky clean image.”
Although little is known about the plot of the film, it is certain that it will feature characters from the first two films including cowboy Woody and spaceman Buzz Lightyear who are dumped into a day care centre. This happened after their owner Andy leaves for college.
Apart from Michael Keaton, Tom Hanks returns to voice Woody, while funnyman Tim Allen will bring life to Buzz Lightyear. Other actors have given the confirmation to be a part of the project. They include Joan Cusack, John Ratzenberger and Jodi Benson.
Earlier also fifty six year old Michael Keaton has worked on another film by Toy Story creators Disney. There he played Chick in 2006’s Cars. The movie, which has the working title Toy Story 3, is scheduled for release in June 2010. |
