Mackenzie Phillips: Detained at Los Angeles airport
Former teen star Mackenzie Phillips is undergoing a tough time. She has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after she supposedly was found carrying drugs at Los Angeles International Airport.
Sources have revealed more information on Mackenzie Phillips. According to the Airport police Sgt. Jim Holcomb, on Wednesday the co-star of the old sitcom "One Day At a Time" was arrested.
Forty eight year old Mackenzie Phillips was heading to New York when she failed to pass a security screening. After a secondary search it was being found out that she possessed a little quantity of cocaine and heroin.
Mackenzie Phillips is the daughter of John Phillips, the late leader of the singing group the Mamas and the Papas. She has also struggled with drug addiction in the past and was being thrown away from "One Day At a Time," which ran from years 1975 to 1984, for drug-related causes.
Mackenzie went on to star in the Disney Channel series "So Weird" and has made intermittent TV appearances in current years. |
