 Michael Phelps: Meets Olympic cheer leaders
After winning eight gold medals in Beijing Summer Olympics, American golden boy Michael Phelps finally has time to relax and enjoy his stay in Beijing.
Swimming superstar Michael Phelps went to the Olympic Park to meet and have chat with kids. The kids are Olympic cheer leaders, selected from 40 countries and regions around the world.
The unprecedented eight Olympic gold medals turned Michael Phelps a super star. His arrival at the restaurant of the Olympic Park heated up the atmosphere. The super star walked to a group of kids and shared his Olympic dream. After seeing their hero, kids became happy and can't hold their excitement.
When asked about his success, Michael Phelps said that a hard training is key to world championship; before joining Olympic he had to swim about six or seven kilometers in regular training. He also encouraged the kids to be ambitious about their dreams.
The 20-minute meeting impressed the young Olympic cheer leaders. They said that Michael Phelps is like their friend, nice, honest and sincere. |
