 Yelena Isinbayeva: Creates world record as Olympic athlete
Yelena Isinbayeva, the Russian pole vaulter, has broken her own world record in winning a second successive Olympic gold medal. In this was she has snatched victory over over Unites States’ Jenn Stuczynski and thus set a mark of 5.05 metres on her third and final attempt at that height.
More information about Yelena Isinbayeva has been inferred from quite a number of sources. As per their reports, Yelena, after breaking her own old world record by one centimeter, she did a somersault on the mat. This was followed by jogging around the stadium with a Russian flag in the midst of huge round o applause from crowd.
It was anything but a celebration almost ten hours earlier when defending hurdles champion namely Liu Xiang, one of the most famous sportsmen in China, walked away from Olympic Games after facing defeat. |
