Richard Dreyfuss: Sued father and uncle
Richard Dreyfuss, the Oscar winning American actor, has sued his father and uncle over an 870,000 dollar loan that he claimed was never repaid. He has filed a lawsuit where he has claimed that he gave loan to his relatives in the year 1984, who owned an interest in an office building that is situated at downtown Los Angeles.
Interestingly after twenty four years, Richard Dreyfuss said that both loan and interest remained unpaid.
In his lawsuit, Dreyfuss said that his uncle, Gilbert Dreyfuss, has repetitively denied show records that would show its financial status.
All the phone calls and e-mail messages that were left for Gilbert Dreyfuss were not immediately returned. A woman who took up the phone call at an address that was registered to Dreyfuss' father, Norman, commented that he was not available there.
Richard Dreyfuss has brought the allegation that both his uncle and father have acted with "fraud" and "malice." He is seeking a repayment of the loan as well as the interest and punitive damages. |
