Mary J. Blige: Got accusation of stealing tunes
Mary J. Blige, the famous musician, has been sued in New York for two million dollars by a company. It is said that she has stolen some of the music that she used on her latest hit album, including one used on an iPod commercial.
To be specific, the company namely Drama Family Entertainment has filed the lawsuit in federal court in Manhattan on Tuesday.
The lawsuit claims that the company suffered copyright violation since the "Growing Pains" album of the singer incorporates the song "Work That." The suit says that the song was created by a producer who worked for the company at the time.
The song was featured with a silhouetted Mary J. Blige in an iPod commercial. The name of Apple Inc. was not mentioned in the lawsuit.
In spite of repeated attempts, not a single lawyer of this Grammy-winning singer was not available for comments. |
