 Cheech Marin: Gets ready to reunite with Tommy Chong
Cheech Marin, the famous comedian, has undertaken the path of reconciliation with actor Tommy Chong. He has confessed that both of them are very much willing to get together for their first comedy tour in a span of over twenty five years.
Details about Cheech Marin have been inferred from multiple sources. On Wednesday while briefing the reporters during news conference at the Troubadour, the Los Angeles nightclub, he said, "We had such a legacy, such a history. We couldn't escape it, even if we tried." It was the night club where the pair was discovered more than 35 years ago.
The couple commented that their "Light Up America" tour will start from Sept. 12 in Philadelphia.
"It's going to be very theatrical," added Cheech Marin.
In the beginning of this month, Cheech Marin also has dropped the topic of reuniting with Tommy in front of the reporters of a famous radio channel of United States. Cheech narrated that he and seventy year old Chong has recently decided that if ever they were to reunite the time was now because, "You're not getting any younger and neither am I."
As per Cheech Marin’s version, the duo came up with some ideas and figured a comedy tour would be "the most fun" and "the least hassle".
Cheech Marin broke up with Chong due to differences in matters of professional services. Although they have tried to reunite before they have always fought too much.
"It takes about three minutes for that to happen”. "There's this veiled hatred." This comment is added by Cheech with the assurance that they are trying best to resolve the matter.
Cheech Marin and Chong have released 9 comedy albums between 1972 and 1985. They also have got nomination in four Grammy Awards and also have won one. They also starred in 8 feature films as well.
"We've gotten to the age where we don't feel like fighting anymore because the end is a lot closer than the beginning," commented Marin. |
