 Foxy Brown: Sued by a publisher
Famous rap singer, Foxy Brown has been sued by a publisher from New York by charging that he has paid advances for books which were not delivered till date. Along Brown, Lil’ Kim also has faced the litigation.
Reporters have gathered more information about Foxy Brown. The publisher namely Simon & Schuster Inc. said that in the year 2005 Foxy Brown was paid $75,000 in order to deliver an autobiography called "Broken Silence" latest by February 2006; and Lil' Kim was paid $40,000 in the year 2003 for a novel that was scheduled to be released on June 2004.
The publisher wants its money back through the two lawsuits that were filed on Thursday.
After signing the deals, both women were imprisoned for several months. Lil' Kim faced imprisonment in the year 2005 for lying about a shooting. In the year 2007 Foxy Brown was jailed for violating probation arising from a fight with two manicurists.
The attorneys of Foxy Brown commented that she did not see the lawsuit herself and could not put forth any comment. Lil' Kim's attorney also did not return a call on Thursday. |
