 Mindy McCready: Enters rehab
County music singer Mindy McCready has entered rehab for undisclosed reasons.
Mindy McCready's representative said, "McCready did receive emergency care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Other issues made it prudent for her to seek longer-term and broader-based treatment. To her credit, she has entered into an extended-care facility where she will receive the care needed. And for the moment we ask that everyone respect her privacy".
According to a source, the 32 year old Mindy McCready, who has a history of substance-abuse issues, checked into the Nashville hospital on July 16 following an overdose of the sleeping pill Ambien, in addition to ingesting vodka. “She’s headed west for rehab”, the source said.
McCready's 2 year old son, Zander Ryan, is in the care of her mother, Terri.
Mindy McCready was jailed in 2007 after violating probation on a 2004 drug arrest. In a recent YouTube video she issued a message to fans, saying, "I miss you guys so much and I can't wait to see you". |
