Actor Bill Murray has signed up to jump with the Army Parachute Team Golden Knights in the next month at the 50th Annual Chicago Air and Water Show to honor veterans.
According to a newspaper of Chicago, the 57 year old Bill Murray will make his tandem jump at around 3 p.m. on Aug. 15 and will land at North Avenue beach.
A spokeswoman for the Mayor's Office of Special Events said that Bill Murray will jump on behalf of USO of Illinois, an organization that provides aid to wounded war vets at home and overseas.
Mrs. Brady and Florence Henderson will sing the national anthem before Murray takes to the sky.
Bill Murray received an Oscar nomination for his role in "Lost in Translation". His screen credits also include the "Ghostbusters" movies, "Caddyshack" and "Groundhog Day".
Other celebrities with Chicago roots who are participating include Gary Sinise. He is scheduled to perform with his band Lt. Dan Band.
