 Jon Bon Jovi: Built houses for poor in Detroit
Legendary singer Jon Bon Jovi has proved his benevolence by lending support to a social cause. On Monday this Grammy winner has announced the construction of new houses for people. It was an integral part of partnership amongst Bon Jovi’s Philadelphia Soul Charitable Foundation, Saturn and Habitat for Humanity Detroit.
Reporters have thrown more light on Jon Bon Jovi’s news. According to them, people gathered and cheered "knock it down" as construction workers broke a hole in the roof of the last of the remaining houses on the block that underwent demolition. Afterwards Detroit-area Saturn retailers have lifted up the first wall of a new home.
Addressing the crowd Jon Bon Jovi commented, "I wanted to come back and give something back to you,"
Forty six year Bon Jovi owns the Arena Football League's Philadelphia Soul. His charitable foundation focuses on giving affordable housing to all the hapless and unfortunate people of the locality.
On Monday Jon Bon Jovi was in town for a performance at the Palace of Auburn Hills. It was Monday night as part of his band's "Lost Highway" tour.
After a short speech, he took permission from the audiences and left the place.
"I have to go to my day job now," added Jon Bon Jovi with a smile on his face. |
