Sheryl Crow: Requests for conservation of wild horses
Sheryl Crow, the actress and singer, has developed a noble idea of contributing to the social cause. She is ardently requesting people to take initiative to save wild horses of America.
More news about Sheryl Crow has been gathered from quite a number of sources. "I think it will be a real shame when we look back and we don't have these incredible species, and I guess my best hope would be that people, individuals, step up at this point and really protect these animals." This comment of this forty six year old Grammy award winner has been incorporated in an upcoming documentary, titled "Saving the American Wild Horse."
Being broadcasted on the Documentary Channel, James Kleinert has been given the responsibility of directing the program. Peter Coyote did the narration. Viggo Mortensen will also be featured in the documentary.
Sheryl Crow, who lives in Tennessee and owns a wild mustang named Colorado, becomes emotional while narrating opinion about her. She said that the animals are part and parcel of the history of America but are being sacrificed in big business' drive for Western lands.
"We're starting to get really, really far away from our heritage and what this country is based on," added Sheryl Crow.
The documentary throws light on the policies of the Bureau of Land Management regarding wild horses on public lands. Interviews with ranchers, historians, animal rights activists, environmentalists and others also are incorporated in the documentary.
"If any of these politicians visited these sites where our indigenous animals are being slaughtered in an inhumane way and being sold for meat, I feel that there would be a different take and a different approach to what's happening," added Crow. |
