 Guy Ritchie: Mother dismisses divorce rumors
Guy Ritchie’s mother, Lady Amber Leighton, denied the rumors of a potential split between her son and Madonna.
Mrs. Leighton said, “I spoke to Guy this morning, not about divorce but about a new feature film project he has got under way. There’s no conversation about divorce because there is no divorce. They are not getting divorced; the speculation is TT — that’s total tosh”.
Reports have circulated recently that Madonna and her filmmaker husband, Guy Ritchie, are living separate lives and have planned a formal announcement about their split after Madonna finishes her world tour in November. Madonna has reportedly met with Fiona Shackleton, the divorce lawyer.
According to a source, Guy Ritchie reached at New York on Monday to spend as much time as possible with his wife and their brood before she heads out on her next world tour.
Madonna is currently promoting her album "Hard Candy" and her world tour, set to start in Europe in August. Madonna has three children, Lourdes, 13, with personal trainer Carlos Leon, Rocco, 7, with Ritchie and David, 2, who was adopted from Malawi.
The source said about Guy Ritchie, "He has been planning for a long time to spend all of July in New York. It's not a last-ditch effort to save the marriage".
