 Queen Latifah: Sued a film production company
Queen Latifah, the famous actress and singer of United States, sued a small film production company that has taken the responsibility of financing the movie titled "The Perfect Holiday" on Wednesday. In her clarification she further mentioned that she has not been paid any money for the film.
More details about the news on Queen Latifah have been inferred by the reporters. According to them, all the lawyers of this Academy Award-nominated actress and Grammy Award-winning singer whose real name is Dana Owens has filed a lawsuit at Manhattan federal court. There Queen Latifah has mentioned that this California-based company, Perfect Christmas Productions, has breached her contract and owed her 275,000 dollars for a cameo role in the film.
Queen Latifah's film "The Perfect Holiday," which was also produced by thirty-eight Owens was released in the month of December 2007, starring eminent film personalities namely Terrence Howard and Gabrielle Union. As per the survey of Box Office Mojo it has made a profit of more than $5.8 million by February, 2008 in the United States.
Queen Latifah’s lawsuit further has said that the Perfect Christmas Productions was believed to have been paid several million dollars by 3rd parties for "The Perfect Holiday," which was originally known as "Perfect Christmas." |
