Katie Holmes, the beautiful actress, is set to make her Broadway debut on September 18. Katie along with ex "Dawson's Creek" star starts her preview performances in a revival of Arthur Miller's "All My Sons." This bit of information has been declared by producer Eric Falkenstein on Tuesday.
The sources have thrown more light on the news of Katie Holmes. According to them, the production, which also stars actors like John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson, will officially open on Oct. 16 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
The sources also have briefed the story of Katie Holmes’ film "All My Sons" to the reporters. In fact it centers round businessman Joe Keller (Lithgow) whose factory supplied defective cylinder parts to the military personnel that has resulted in the deaths of twenty one pilots during World War II. In spite of that, his business partner went to jail because of a conspiracy that has been hatched against him.
Dianne Wiest will play the wife of Keller; Wilson, his idealistic son; and Katie Holmes, the son's fiancee and daughter of Keller's disgraced partner. Simon McBurney will take the responsibility of directing the film.
The prices of the tickets for Katie Holmes’ "All My Sons" will creep higher than normal range for a play. The top price for all evening performances along with the Saturday and Sunday matinees will be 116.50 dollars, with Wednesday matinees going for 111.50 dollars. The same price will be charged for "Equus," that is starred by Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths. No word has till date being known about the cost of the premium tickets for "All My Sons." However the charges of “Equus” have been fixed as $251.50 for premium seats. It can even go as high as $301.50 during holiday weeks like Thanksgiving and Christmas. |
