 Daniel Craig: Suffers injury
Daniel Craig, who was busy shooting his forthcoming James Bond movie ‘Quantum of Solace’, suffered a hand injury. The injury has occurred at the time of shooting of the above-mentioned film at Pinewood Studios of London sometime this week. The news was revealed by Steve Elzer, the spokesman of the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group on Wednesday. Columbia Pictures, a unit of Sony Corp, has undertaken the responsibility of distributing the film.
However Steve did not confirm the speculation that forty year old Daniel Craig has sliced off the tip of a finger in the accident. Also e-mail and phone calls to the publicist of Daniel Craig were not returned immediately on Wednesday.
Media has reported that Elzer is trying best to downplay the severity of the mishap.
While briefing the reporters of a popular news agency on Wednesday Steve came forth with more information in this matter. "There was a minor incident on set". "Daniel injured his hand. He sought medical attention. He was back on the set within a matter of hours and production went on," added the source.
It is not the first time that accident has occurred during filming of "Quantum of Solace." In fact Daniel Craig’s accident has been marked as the latest in a string of mishaps during production of this James Bond’s film.
Last week, Daniel Craig was reported to have suffered a slash on his face that required eight stitches. However Steve did not clarify anything in this matter.
In the month of April also stuntmen were injured while filming an action sequence on winding lakeside roads in Northern Italy. Daniel Craig and others like director Marc Forster or any other cast members were not present at the location when the accident occurred.
Few days before also, British media reported that an Aston Martin DBS, prized car of production unit, has slipped down the road into a lake. Fortunately the driver has narrowly escaped with minor injuries.
"Quantum of Solace" is the 22nd Bond film and is scheduled for release sometime later this year. |
