 Michelle Williams: Captured spotlight at Cannes Film Festival
Michelle Williams has made a dramatic zero hour entry at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. According to a source, this is for the first time since the death of Heath Ledger that she came in front of public. She walked down the red carpet and promoted her film Wendy and Lucy.
"It was decided on Monday night that she could come to Cannes, and she got on the next plane to arrive just in time to get dressed and come to our premiere,” "She came in and had a long nap and then came to the screening." added a spokesperson of the film Wendy and Lucy.
The same source has further added that Michelle Williams’ film was well received at the Cannes.
"Some people said tonight it was a transcendent performance," "It's about things going on around her and she's just she's trying to go forward and things are not working out for her. You see her taking care of herself first [in the film], which is exactly what we must do," added the source about Michelle Williams' movie.
Twenty seven year old Michelle Williams looked gorgeous in a classic Chanel Haute Couture dress. She will remain at the Cannes Film Festival for at least Friday night and also promote another festival movie at New York in which she has made an appearance. After that she will fly back to the United States for resuming her shooting of a Martin Scorsese movie in Boston.
Michelle Williams has kept a low profile since the unfortunate death of Heath Ledger on last January. After attending his memorial service in Australia, she has spent most of her time with Matilda, their two year-old- daughter, in New York. She was also seen on the set of her new film. |
