Amy Winehouse: Wins Ivor Novello award
British singer Amy Winehouse has won a prestigious song-writing award.
Amy Winehouse received Britain's prestigious Ivor Novello songwriting award in London on Thursday for her best song "Love Is a Losing Game". But unfortunately she failed to reach at the show in time to accept the award. Mitch Winehouse received the award on behalf of her daughter.
Representative of Amy Winehouse said that she arrived at the ceremony "literally as the award was being given to her dad".
Mitch Winehouse said, "Unfortunately, Amy couldn't make it, but she is getting better and sends you all her love".
She was also nominated in the same category for 'You Know I’m No Good'. Organisers said that it was the first time that an artist had been twice-nominated in the category since the awards began in 1955.
