Steven Spielberg, the veteran director of Hollywood, has got a laurel that is going to enhance his glory to a great extent. Steven is now an officer in the French Legion of Honor.
Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President, said that the felicitation was initiated due to the director’s work on documenting the Holocaust and his efforts for helping the war-stricken Dafur area of Sudan.
More information about Spielberg has been gathered by the reporters. According to them, sixty one year old Steven Spielberg met Sarkozy in the French presidential palace on Wednesday.
Last weekend Spielberg also has attended the Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of his new film titled "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Harrison Ford has been starred in this Steven Spielberg’s film.
It is needless to mention that the French Legion of Honor is one of the highest awards of the country.
