 Carla Bruni: Releases new album in July
Carla Bruni, the first lady of France, is coming up with her new venture. The former supermodel, Bruni is planning to release her third album in the month of July. The album incorporates fourteen songs that were written at a time before she met Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President. This sensational news has been put forth by Bertrand de Labbey, Carla Bruni’s agent on Monday.
As per this source, Carla Bruni’s yet-to-named album includes a classic Bob Dylan tune and also an Italian song and a piece based on a poem by French author called Michel Houellebecq.
Amongst other highly acclaimed songs of Carla Bruni’s album are "My junk" and "Love Song". De Labbey commented that these songs were both written more than 2 years ago.
Apart from composing the songs, forty year old Carla Bruni also has shouldered the responsibility of writing the lyrics of most of the songs of this album. It is said that the album will make a gala release in France, Britain, and Germany and also in her native Italy on 21st July.
"Ninety-five percent of the songs on the album were written before she met the president," added Bruni’s agent to the reporters of a famous news agency.
"The voice tracks are done but the album still needs some sound mixing. It's just a matter of perfecting it but, as she is a perfectionist, it will take time," commented the agent.
Carla Bruni, a former supermodel who also took up career as a singer in her mid-thirties, got married to the French President in the month of February after a three-month romance.
Her first album titled “Quelqu'un M'a Dit" (Someone Told Me) that was released in the year 2002 was a hit thereby selling 1.2 million copies in France and 800,000 in the foreign countries.
However Carla Bruni’s second album titled “No Promises" that came out in the market in the beginning of 2007 was regarded a disappointment since it has sold only eighty thousand copies sold. |
