 John Cusack: Acts as hero in disaster film
John Cusack is gearing himself for his forthcoming venture in the tinsel town. This famous actor/director has taken up a big-budget disaster film.
The reporters also have thrown some light in this regard. According to them, John Cusack is undergoing negotiations with the concerned people in order to portray a heroic survivor in Roland Emmerich's much-acclaimed film "2012." It is said that the Columbia Pictures is planning to release it sometime in the month of July. Apart from John Cusack, the British actor namely Chiwetel Ejiofor is also having talks with authorities.
John Cusack would portray the character of a divorced father who is a writer by profession. However he also has undertaken occupation of ‘limo’ driving and also tried to save his family in the wake of a global calamity. In the film Ejiofor would play an idealistic science adviser to the president.
Emmerich, far-famed for box-office hits like "Independence Day" and "Godzilla," has been given the responsibility of directing John Cusack’s film. For the script, he is working hand-in-hand with Harald Kloser who has also worked as a script writer in the famous film titled "10,000 BC".
The cinema critics have the expectation that John Cusack’s forthcoming film "2012" was ‘the first big spec script’ that has released after the hundred day strike of the Hollywood writers that ultimately came to an end in the month of February. So far as the budget is concerned, it is estimated to have given a figure of 200 million dollars. However Columbia had the belief that they will make the film at a budget less than the aforesaid amount. The studio plans to begin the shooting of filming in the month of July.
John Cusack returns to the theaters on Friday in the indie comedy titled "War, Inc.” He has undertaken the works of both writing as well as producing the film. Presently he was seen in the film "Grace is Gone" that was a huge flop at the box office. |
