 Marissa Jaret Winokur: Gets eliminated from 'Dancing With the Stars'
Marissa Jaret Winokur, the winner of the Tony Award, has been dismissed from the famous program ‘Dancing With the Stars’ on Tuesday.
Details about Marissa Jaret Winokur’s termination have been clarified by various sources. According to them, she and her professional partner, Tony Dovolani, came into the semifinal in last place, scoring fifty-two out of sixty. On Monday the dancing duo did all the quickstep and rumba, thereby grabbing twenty-six points for each performance.
Marissa Jaret Winokur and her partner have been dismissed on the basis of combined scores of judges and the audiences’ votes.
Marissa Jaret Winokur, who was cheerful throughout the competition, has kept on smiling even after she learned her fate.
"I've never felt sexier in my life. Just going through this ride, I feel like I can pretty much do anything," said Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Further she has added that she “wanted to prove to people that you don't have to be a size zero to dance."
"I want everyone to go out and do something fun." "Do something that makes you feel sexy and shake what your mama gave you." This was Winokur’s comment before taking leave from the show.
Apart from Marissa Jaret Winokur’s performance, there was a tribute to Michael Jackson's "Thriller," on the show on Tuesday with Omarion singing a medley of hits from the album of 1980s along with dozens of dancers who showed some of Jackson's typical movements.
In addition, all the little competitors of the show, the ballroom kids, also came back to the dance floor. Amongst them one of 3 preteen couples will be crowned junior champions during final of the season that will be held next week.
Finalists namely Kristi Yamaguchi, Jason Taylor, and Cristian de la Fuente will perform their last dances on Monday. From them, one will become the season’s champion. |
