 Bob Dylan: Sketches go on display in London's exhibition
An exhibition of Bob Dylan's sketches will be displayed in London for the first time.
The show will feature Bob Dylan's drawings and sketches between the period 1989 to 1992 at London's Halcyon Gallery next month. He made the sketches while travelling on the road.
Paul Green, President of Halcyon Gallery said, "This is an incredible opportunity for viewing this powerful body of work which gives an insight into the artist's soul".
Bob Dylan's fans can also see his paintings in The Drawn Blank Series, which will be opened in June.
The Halcyon Gallery, which is displaying the paintings, said, "Feelings of anonymity, transience, rootlessness and sometimes loneliness pervade these representations of the people, objects and places that Dylan has seen and drawn".
The exhibition will be opened at the London gallery on June 14.
Bob Dylan has sold more than 110 million albums and performed thousands of shows around the world on his "never-ending tour". He has been recently awarded a special Pulitzer Prize for "his profound impact on popular music and American culture". |
