Amanda Bynes: Charged with hit-and-run, vulnerable to face year's jailtime
Actress and singer Amanda Bynes has been charged with two counts of misdemeanour hit-and-run.
In case, the star is convicted of both counts she faces up to a year in jail, since each count has a maximum sentence of six months, reports TMZ.
Earlier this year, the Los Angeles City Attorney charged Bynes following two apparent incidents.
The artist pleaded not guilty in a DUI case after she was arrested in April on suspicion of drunk driving and hitting a police car.
This court case was later rejected because of a lack of independent witnesses to identify Bynes.
Although, last month prosecutors reopened the star's hit-and-run case after she was accused of another hit-and-run on August 4.
Previously, the actress had taken to Twitter to ask President Barack Obama to fire the cop who arrested her for DUI.
Amanda Bynes is due in court on September 27.
